A True Fighter
A true fighter will know the difference, what Shihan Dai is teaching us is solid gold, no doubt. Being able to put an attacker in a submission hold without using much energy is what a true fighter appreciates. We are not about trophies or belts, but the reality of true combat, true fighting. We are not about competition, but real fighting.
To me, winning a street fight is more rewarding than a belt. To be able to put somebody in his place, without having to hurt him real bad, and just to let him know the he was facing a force that had to be reckoned with.
Man, we do things that most people have no idea can be done. They see from far and they wonder, “is that real”? We go and apply it on them and they feel how powerful the techniques really are and how easily they can be applied effortlessly.
The beauty is that Shihan Dai is not one of those guys who is full of himself trying to prove something. He is teaching us martial arts, PROPERLY, and he’s teaching us that when we have to apply, to apply it for the right reason. He’s a great teacher, man.

"....I don't like violence:
Pretty strange for some one training in the martial arts eh? With that being said I love Atemi Ryu's application as a combative art. After 7 months of training I'm actually beginning to feel a beauty in the circular movements juxtaposed to the sheer devastation of the techniques. The contrast of the beauty and destruction of Atemi Ryu is profound in how the unleashing of such power is near absolutely effortless. It is stretching the boundaries of what I mistakenly knew my self capable of. I really feel privileged to learn this art and to be excepted into the Atemi lineage."
