Captain II Robert Gale
Captain Robert N. Gale is a former law enforcement executive with an extensive background in a diverse range of law enforcement related fields including criminal investigations, risk management, security consulting, executive protection services, intelligence operations and leadership training.
Captain Gale retired from the Los Angeles Police Department with in excess of 28 years experience. During his career with the LAPD Captain Gale was assigned to a variety of specialized investigations including major narcotics trafficking investigations, homicide investigations, special surveillance operations targeting career criminals, other sensitive criminal investigations and complex internal investigations both administrative and criminal in nature where he reported his findings directly to the Chief of Police.
As the commanding officer of several diverse police divisions throughout the City of Los Angeles Captain Gale personally oversaw all operations while commanding hundreds of subordinates, including patrol officers, detectives, undercover vice enforcement investigators, specialized narcotic enforcement details, and all administrative support functions. 
Prior to retiring from the Los Angeles Police Department Captain Gale was the commanding officer of the Drug Abuse Resistance and Education Division (DARE). He was also the Director of the Western Regional Training Center. In that capacity he was instrumental in overseeing revisions to the DARE curriculum and also providing training to police officers across the United States and Canada and United States Military personnel worldwide in becoming certified DARE instructors.
Captain Gale traveled extensively, domestically and internationally representing the LAPD as a guest speaker to numerous police conferences including the International Association of Chief's of Police. During his career with the Los Angeles Police Department Captain Gale was selected to be part of several joint task force operations with various state and local police departments, the FBI and DEA on major narcotic investigations that were conducted not only in the United States but in several foreign countries. 
Throughout his law enforcement career Captain Gale either personally investigated or directly supervised hundreds of investigations involving violent crimes including homicide, suicide, rape/sexual assault and violent and sexually oriented crimes against children and other crimes involving robberies, burglaries and a multitude of crimes against property.
Since retirement Captain Gale has distinguished himself in a variety of successful endeavors. Upon his retirement from the LAPD he was selected as the Editor-in-Chief of a Commemorative Yearbook project for the Los Angeles Police Department that was successfully published in 2000. Captain Gale next was offered the position of General Manager of the Los Angeles Police Revolver & Athletic Club, Inc. (LAPRAAC) which is a non-profit corporation that manages all operations of the historic LAPD Elysian Park Police Academy. In his capacity as its GM Captain Gale oversaw all operations including the administration of the Uniform and Gift Shop, a Gun Store, Café and Banquet facilities and an extensive athletic program. 
During his career with the LAPD Captain Gale was elected by the membership to the Board of Directors of LAPRAAC and served on the non profit board for over 5 years and as its president for two years.
Captain Gale was also a founding partner in a diverse company specializing in risk management, criminal investigations, leadership training, grant writing and other specialized matters requiring discrete, sensitive and professional investigations.
In 2004 Captain Gale became an independent consultant and has provided crisis management, security consulting, litigation support, threat assessments, and emergency response and site security evaluations to a number of businesses and individuals. Captain Gale is currently affiliated as a forensic expert with the Institute of Risk and Safety Analyses specializing in recreating crime scenes and assisting in determining liability in civil cases.
Captain Gale served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970 During his military career he volunteered for training and was ultimately successful in becoming a member of the elite US Army Special Forces.
His military service included a combat tour in Vietnam and as a member of a highly specialized team that was deployed on an extended and sensitive covert operation in Cambodia. Captain Gale attended college in Los Angeles majoring in Political Science and Administration of Justice. He has received numerous awards and recognition from local, state and federal agencies and also from foreign nations for his meritorious service and professional achievements.
Captain Gale and his partner Vince Cecere -Shihan dai are the co-founders and owners of Atemi Los Angeles, a very unique and one of a kind martial arts academy and combative tactics training center located in North Hollywood, California.
Additionally, Captain Gale is the President and CEO of The 5th Group Security Company. 
The 5th Group is a security consulting firm specializing in risk management, threat assessment and a variety of other sensitive security related matters. Captain Gale oversees and directs a staff of over 35 highly trained and specialized security officers including former law enforcement officers, military personnel and other highly trained consultants.
He also runs a boot camp for weight loss and strength training at Atemi LA Combative tactics and martial arts academy in North Holly wood, California in Los Angeles County.
